The Catch from River Nile

Ever thought what impact your fish meal makes?

It’s a thought we have answers for.

The fish on your plate is an important piece in a whole chain of conserving our environment and enriching communities.

In this short film, we follow a fisherman catching fish on River Nile and explore how his (their) cooperation with ‪@lemalawildwaters8799‬ is helping the river and Kalagala community thrive at different fronts.

The lodge is keeping the river and environment around them pure, which ensures the fishermen are guaranteed a catch. The fishermen sell the fish to the lodge, hence earning an income.

This interdependence sanitizes the whole ecosystem for the better good. A win-win for all players. And that’s why we at Africa Beyond Borders are glad to support a lodge that is helping a local community thrive.

Thanks to ‪@lemalawildwaters8799‬ and the Kalagala community for their continued collaboration on ensuring the ecosystem is preserved.

Thanks as well to the amazing team behind this work;
